The fofth annual Bealtaine festival of outdoor science in the Southeast is organised by CALMAST at Waterford IT and will have as its theme this year : Biodiversity through natural selection. Over 50 events scheduled.
The aim of the festival is to encourage people, young and old to celebrate the living Earth many of the events are about biodiversity.

The festival involves a mix of interactive presentations, guided walks and workshops for children and adults. Over 2,500 people attended the events in 2008.
